At 15:58 on May 19, 2011, with the downfall of the piling hammer of Chenjiang 8# piling vessel, the jetty project of ROC start construction, which also means ROC foundational construction has taken one more crucial step.

The jetty project is constructed by Jiangsu Haihong Construction Co., Ltd and supervised by Suzhou Project Management Consulting Co., Ltd. The total length of the jetty will be 326m, and the total investment will be nearly RMB 100 million. The jetty was designed with pile foundation construction of beam and slab tall pile structure, including a berth for shipping and material and a berth for offshore vessels outfitting. One 60T portal slewing crane and one 250T gantry crane which can traveling all the way to the front of the jetty will be fitted. It is learned that the jetty will be under initial service condition by the end of September 2011.
