ROC’s Third PSV Keel Laid, Construction Reaches Key Stage

On the afternoon of July 28, the keel-laying ceremony for the SPP40 platform supply vessel N1055, constructed by ROC, was successfully held at ROC’s No. 2 slipway. This milestone marks the official start of the vessel’s hull assembly phase, laying a solid foundation for its subsequent delivery.

Vessel N1055 is the third SPP40 platform supply vessel, integrating advanced design concepts and technological innovations, with notable advantages in intelligent operations and green environmental performance. Since the project commenced earlier this year, the project team has overcome multiple challenges, including technical difficulties and tight schedules. Through close collaboration among Design, Production, and Quality Management Departments, an efficient construction system has been established. Drawing on the experience gained from the first two vessels of the same type, the team accurately anticipated potential issues at every stage, avoiding rework and adjustments during actual construction. This approach has enhanced both efficiency and quality, fully demonstrating ROC’s mature craftsmanship and high execution capabilities in the field of specialized shipbuilding.

Moving forward, ROC will continue to uphold its principles of "Professionalism, Innovation, Responsibility, and Win-Win Cooperation," strictly adhering to international standards and industry regulations. ROC remains committed to advancing all aspects of the project with full dedication, ensuring quality, safety, and progress as it steadily works toward the vessel’s launch.
