ROC's Successful Launch of First SPP40 Platform Supply Vessel (N1053)


Recently, the launching ceremony of the SPP40 Platform Supply Vessel(N1053), built by ROC for CDB Leasing and SPEC, was grandly held at ROC's 2# slipway. This marks another major milestone for the vessel following its keel laying in February this year. Nearly 100 guests, including shipowners, classification societies, partners and ROC representatives, attended the ceremony to witness this important moment.


The SPP40 Platform Supply Vessel is a high-end offshore engineering project constructed by ROC. It features in DP2 dynamic positioning and green environmental protection design, and has taken the lead in applying advanced technologies such as lithium iron phosphate batteries and fuel monitoring systems, meeting the demands of the international market. As the first vessel in the SPP40 Platform Supply Vessel series, the successful launching of N1053 signifies crucial progress in its construction, while also accumulating valuable experience for the advancement of subsequent projects involving multiple vessels of the same type.

At the launching ceremony, Mr. Shao Xiwu, General Manager of ROC, delivered a speech. He emphasized that the smooth launching of the SPP40 would not have been possible without the trust and close collaboration of all parties, and that ROC would do its utmost to fulfill the contract perfectly. Mr. Chen Hong, Senior Expert and General Manager of the Shipping Division of CDB Leasing, spoke highly of ROC's strong capabilities in his speech and expressed expectations for the vessel's strong performance after delivery. Mr. Weng Huigan, General Manager of SPEC, fully affirmed the friendly cooperative relationship among the three parties and thanked the project team for their indomitable spirit of struggle and outstanding innovation capabilities.
