Rainbow Offshore signed two platform supply vessel contracts in the New Year

Recently, Rainbow Offshore has ushered in a red-letter day with the first order of the New Year, signing another contract for the construction of two SPP40 platform supply vessels with CDB-Leasing after the previous contract for two SPP40 platform supply vessels.

This signing is a testament to the close cooperation based on long-term mutual trust between both parties, fully reflecting the customer's high recognition of Rainbow Offshore's construction capabilities and its commitment to fulfilling contracts. The two SPP40 platform supply vessel projects previously signed by both parties are already under construction in an orderly manner.

The SPP40 project has an overall length of 81.75 meters, a molded breadth of 17.40 meters, a molded depth of 7.8 meters, and a maximum draft of 6.3 meters, with a deadweight tonnage of 4,000 tons. The vessels are classified by the French Bureau Veritas (BV) and equipped with DP2 and a replaceable containerized power battery system. Currently, they are the first batch of vessels with a replaceable containerized power battery system classified by the BV. The battery packs can achieve zero-emission navigation in emission control areas or ecological protection areas and can also stabilize the power system during DP operations, significantly reducing fuel consumption and pollution. This is a high-tech offshore vessel with broad market prospects.

The renewed cooperation between Rainbow Offshore and CDB-Leasing not only consolidates the friendly cooperative relationship between the two parties but also further enhances Rainbow Offshore's competitiveness and influence in the international market for offshore vessels.
