On May 11, several experts from Institute of Oceanology Chinese Academy of Sciences and ECIDI came to ROC, and discussed the new anticorrosion technology called “Petrolatum Tape Covering system” for offshore wind power project.

During the visit and discussion, ROC Vice GM Mr. Fang Ruyi introduced current offshore wind power anti-corrosion technology. The expert group listened the construction process carefully. Comprehensively considering new anticorrosion technology and offshore wind power construction process, they had further discussion of future offshore wind power anti-corrosion technology and offshore wind power operation and maintenance market. Relevant ROC staff had detailed explanation to various questions put forward by experts. With rich project experience and construction insight, ROC staff provided the experts with arguments for practical production.

Through this field investigation and research, the Institutes had a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of ROC, and analyzed at a deeper level of the offshore wind power anticorrosion technology, as well as the operation and maintenance market. The parties at present also had in-depth discussions of future cooperation and academic research, and hoped that all can achieve win-win and common development in future “Petrolatum Tape Covering system” project.
