ROC Held Effectiveness Ceremony for GEO Project


Recently, the effectiveness ceremony for Golden Energy Offshore (GEO) PX121H platform supply vessels contract was held successfully in Nantong. Seniors from Ulstein, DNV GL and ROC attended and witnessed the ceremony. The contract has been in force on March 18th formally.

With history more than 80 years, Norway GEO mainly focuses on the North Sea market. Large and medium-sized PSVs dominate his fleet. GEO is currently in the stage of rapid development. This project started their first cooperation with Chinese shipyard.

PX121H PSVs are designed by Norway Ulstein. They have an overall length of 83.4 metres and a beam of 18 metres and deadweight (dwt) of 4,000 tonnes. The vessels will be equipped with the most modern solutions for DP2, oil recovery and fire-fighting. They can accommodate up to 40 persons, and with the maximum speed up to 14.5 knots. They are equipped with diesel electric propulsion system, which can meet the environmental protection requirements. The class is DNV.

The GEO contract is ROC’s first high-end order from Norwegian owner.
