The SPP40 Platform Supply Vessel Project of Rainbow Offshore Successfully Held Its Steel Cutting Ceremony


On the morning of October 30, SPP40 PSV project undertaken by Rainbow Offshore(here in after referred to as “ROC”) successfully held a Steel Cutting ceremony in ROC's steel cutting workshop, and relevant leaders such as CDB- Leasing, SPEC, BV Classification Society, RHI, ROC and other relevant leaders attended the steel cutting ceremony and jointly witnessed this important moment.

The SPP40 project has a total length of 81.75 meters, a width of 17.40 meters, a depth of 7.8 meters, a maximum draft of 6.3 meters, and a design speed of 13 knots. The vessel is designed for electric propulsion, with two tunnel thrusters at the bow and two azimuth thrusters at the stern. It also features the application of lithium iron phosphate batteries and fuel monitoring systems, making it a new generation of environmentally friendly PSV to meet international market needs.

At the steel cutting ceremony, Mr. Wu Jian, President of RHI, expressed his speech, saying that ROC will take on a high sense of responsibility and mission to spare no effort to advance all aspects of the project, and strive to make SPP40 an outstanding and top-quality offshore engineering equipment, providing more excellent and efficient products and services for domestic and foreign customers.
